In 2006, around November, a group of divers animated by the desire to discover new sites, after several attempts in the area of Arona, Meina, Lesa and Baveno, they reached with enthusiasm, in a gray day of November, Belgirate.

Since the area was not capable to accomodate divers, they setup the equipment along the highway. Then trampling shrubs and stones came to dive.

After about half an hour they emerged and there was no need to talk about anything: everything was so perfect! It was the promise land!

They started cleaning, by moving boulders and preparing a prefect place for a diving club.

The municipality, the mayor, the deputy mayor gave them confidence and the neighbor club called “Amici della barca” (Friends of the boat), a club of fisherman, recevied them very cordially.

Through this collaboration we have been able to create a perfect place for a diving club and a fascinating underwater path for all levels of ability.

Now, years later, they are well known in all the country.
